Senior Full Stack Engineer

United States / Canada Fully remote (US or Canada) Full-time, exempt $160,000 – $195,000 base per year

THE ROLE

Be a senior technical voice on a team of six. Own end-to-end delivery of features that let planners explore, override, and approve ML-generated forecasts. The team values clear writing, generous reviews, and reducing complexity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex features across Django (Python 3.12) back-end services and the React/TypeScript front end.
  • Own data-model and API design for forecasting workflows, including safe migrations against multi-terabyte PostgreSQL tables.
  • Build performant, accessible data-visualization interfaces handling hundreds of thousands of rows through virtualized grids, charting, and server-driven pagination.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to productionize model outputs, including versioning, explainability payloads, and override-tracking.
  • Set and uphold standards for testing strategy, type coverage, observability, and documentation.
  • Mentor mid-level engineers, lead design reviews, and participate in hiring.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Required

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years with Python and Django or a comparable framework in production.
  • Strong React and TypeScript skills, including state management and performance tuning for data-heavy UIs.
  • Deep PostgreSQL experience, including query optimization, indexing strategy, and zero-downtime schema changes.
  • Track record of leading technical design for multi-quarter initiatives and delivering them incrementally.
  • Excellent written communication.
  • Located in, and authorized to work in, the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Celery or similar task queues, and Kubernetes-based deployments.
  • Familiarity with pandas/NumPy and consuming ML model outputs in application code.
  • Prior work in supply chain, logistics, planning, or another domain with complex tabular data.
  • Open-source contributions or technical writing.
